Young Malayalam film actress, Priya Prakash Varrier, who shot to fame and went viral for her sensational wink, is back in the news.
As she readies to make her big screen Bollywood debut with 'Sridevi Bungalow', the makers have been slapped with a legal notice.
The film's teaser, released this week, showcased Priya portraying the role of an actress leading a lonely life. She fakes happiness as she cries alone under the shower.
The teaser ends with a shot of her dying in a bathtub due to accidental drowning. Many instantly saw the similarity between the teaser and the way in which the real-life, legendary actress Sridevi had passed away.
Media reports now suggest that Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor has issued a notice against the makers of the film and director Prasanth Mambully.
The makers accepted that they have received a notice from Boney Kapoor and will fight the case in the court, according to a report in The Times of India.
In his defence, Prasanth Mambully told Boney Kapoor that Sridevi is a common name and Priya will be portraying the role of an actress who is called Sridevi.
