As legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan rang in his 78th birthday on Sunday, Ayushmann Khurrana, Neha Dhupia were among the first Bollywood celebrities to wish him on social media.

Bachchan's Gulabo Sitabo co-star Ayushmann Khurrana took to Instagram Stories to share a picture of them together from their recent film, along with a heartfelt note in Hindi, which translates to, "Happy birthday, Amitabh Ji. I had a dream since childhood to work with you one day, and that dream came true so let's call that a blessing. Your contribution to this industry is priceless. We all will be thankful to you."
Actor Neha Dhupia took to Twitter to extend wishes to Bachchan by sharing an old picture with him. "Happy birthday Bachchan Saab ... dher saara pyaar sir @SrBachchan ....#oneandonly #legend" she wrote.


Telugu star Mahesh Babu wrote: "Wishing the living legend @SrBachchan a very Happy Birthday. You're an inspiration for me and a million others around the world. Happiness and good health always sir."

Superstar Mohanlal tagged Big B as a true gem. He wrote: "A true gem of the Indian Cinema! Happy Birthday @SrBachchanji. Love and prayers.#HappyBirthdayAmitabhBachchan"


Actor Ajay Devgn, who has shared screen space with Amitabh in films like Satyagraha, Khakee and Major Saab said: "Many happy returns of the day dear Amitji. Prayers and best wishes for a great year ahead Sir."
