Bollywood icon Sridevi dies at 54 of heart attack in Dubai
Sridevi was in the UAE to attend a wedding function along with her husband and younger daughter.
Veteran Bollywood actress Sridevi passed away here in Dubai on Saturday night after reportedly suffering a cardiac arrest. She was 54. The legendary actress was in the UAE to attend a family function.
Sanjay Kapoor, who landed in Dubai on Sunday morning, told Khaleej Times that Sridevi suffered a heart attack at 11pm yesterday night. She was in her hotel room in Dubai when it happened, he said.
"We are completely shocked. She had no history of a heart attack," said Sanjay Kapoor.
Sridevi was in Dubai to attend the wedding function of actress Sonam Kapoor's cousin Mohit Marwah, along with husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi Kapoor.

Sridevi was known for her performance in some of India's most iconic films like Mr India, Nagina, Sadma, Chaalbaaz, Chandni, among several others.
The Padma Shri recipient was last seen in Mom in 2017.
