While Shushant Singh Rajput's death has been declared a suicide by the authorities, fans are still demanding a probe. #CBIEnquiryForSSRdeath has been trending on twitter of late.
In a new development according to Times Now, Mumbai Police will be conducting a thorough investigation including speaking to actress Kangana Ranaut, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and director Shekhar Kapur.
According to the report Bhansali and Rajput shared mutual admiration for each other's works and had tried to collaborate with each other several times. However, due to the date clashes they were unable to join forces.
The Padmaavat helmer is already facing the ire of Sushant's fans for allegedly not taking him on for Ram Leela.
A petition has also been made against him and seven others from the industry alleging that they abetted the suicide. The hearing in the matter is scheduled to happen on July 3, in Bihar.
In true Ranaut fashion the actress hasn't kept quiet about her thoughts on how the industry bigwigs abetted Rajput's suicide. She has accused Bollywood of not giving Rajput his dues and alleged nepotism and favouritism in the industry as reasons behind the actor's death.
Kapur, who was working with Rajput on Paani, took to Twitter only to say that he was aware of the pain Rajput was going through and how the late actor would cry on his shoulder.
Rajput's close friends like Rhea Chakraborty, Mahesh Shetty and others have already recorded their statements.
