The Coen brothers’ crowd-pleaser ($171 million at the domestic box office) far outpaced second-ranked newcomer “Just Go With It” ($103 million) on both Nielsen VideoScan’s sales chart and its dedicated Blu-ray Disc chart for the week ending June 12.

The previous week’s top-selling disc, HBO’s “True Blood: The Complete Third Season,” slipped to No. 4 on the overall sales chart and No. 6 on the Blu-ray Disc sales chart.

“True Grit” and “Just Go With It,” occupied the same respective rankings on trade publication Home Media Magazine’s video rental chart. The previous week’s top renter, “Drive Angry,” slipped to No. 3.

The animated “Green Lantern: Emerald Knights” direct-to-video release, which shrewdly arrived in stores 10 days before the theatrical debut of the big-budget live-action movie, debuted at No. 3 on the overall sales chart as well as on the Blu-ray Disc sales chart.
