'I am waiting to see the movie'

FARHAN AKHTAR is one of the most enigmatic young filmmakers in the present era. And when his own acting debut Rock On is nearing release, it just keeps us alert all the time.

In fact, it's not just us but also his father Javed Akhtar who is looking forward to the movie with bated breath.

"He surprised me when he made his first film Dil Chahta Hai. And now that he is acting I am sure he will do it well too. I am waiting to see the movie!" says the proud father, whose own charm has floored people across age groups.

Javed says he is also waiting for his son to start work on Don 2. "He is working on the script along with a friend. I would love to write for them!" he says.

Javed's charisma has increasingly been reaching the common man through his stint as judge at various talent shows on TV. And he says he is enjoying every bit of this time. "It's fun to be a part of a talent show. It allows me to meet so many talented people," he says. Akhtar will be soon seen in another reality show.

Meantime, he is busy with his regular work too. "I don't do too many films at a time. So, I can do many other things at the same time," says the poet-lyricist.

So, are we going to see a Javed Akhtar film too? "Oh, I am too lazy!" he admits even as he absorbs the success of the music of Love Story 2050.
