A US company has developed a wireless device that solves the issue of dropped WiFi signals and WiFi dead zones.
Developed by a tech firm in San Francisco, the device is called Eero and when positioned 'strategically' in a building, such as a house, the Eero boxes boosts WiFi speeds tenfold.
The Eero can boost WiFi download speeds from as slow as 8 Megabits per second up to 90 Mbps, according to Engadget.
Roughly the same size as an Apple TV box, the Eero and be controlled via an app and instead of a password, it just needs your phone number.
According to the product brief on the company's facebook page, the device brings enterprise grade WiFi to homes:

'eero brings enterprise-grade WiFi to the home for the first time, without expensive wiring or professional installation.'
The Eero boxes are sold in packs for three, which can reach every room with superfast, stable Wi-Fi. They act as a router, range extender and wireless access point.

During the setup process, the app also offers customers advice on the optimum position for the router replacements. The multiple WiFi hubs can talk to one another and the app to help optimise coverage and speeds.
Eero is encrypted and automatically downloads updates from the cloud - making it more secure than traditional routers.
The company started shipping the devices worldwide this week. A set of three boxes costs $499 (Dh1,822).
