UAE, EU keen to promote economic cooperation

Brussels - Officials from EU member countries, ambassadors of GCC states accredited to the EU and Belgium and key European officials also attended the meeting.

Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, chaired a discussion titled 'The UAE and EU: Enhancing Economic Horizons' at the headquarters of the European Parliament in Brussels.
The UAE was also represented by Suleiman Hamed Salem Al Mazroui, UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium and head of the UAE mission to the European Union; and Laila Hareb Al Muhairi, assistant director-general at the UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority.
Officials from EU member countries, ambassadors of GCC states accredited to the EU and Belgium and key European officials also attended the meeting.
Al Mansouri said the UAE and EU have similar aspirations and joint interests aimed to develop new fields of cooperation and build a better future for people. He added that the EU and the UAE could explore opportunities to promote cooperation in a number of domains.
He briefed officials on the UAE economy which is deemed as one of the world's most dynamic, competitive and open economies through its international economic and trade relations. - Wam
