The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India UAE (Dubai) organised the Global Young Leadership Summit on Saturday to commemorate the 154th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a global youth icon.
Amit Malviya, national head of information technology and digital communication at the Bharatiya Janata Party, said: "Swami Vivekananda was somebody who thought through the practicality of ideas and solutions and why and how they need to be implemented. He spoke of value-based leadership much ahead of our times."
He added: "I am delighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the relationship between India and the UAE has risen to the next level. We look forward to welcoming His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crowne Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to our Republic Day celebrations on January 26, 2017."
Ignite entrepreneurship
ICAI UAE (Dubai) chairman CA Pankaj Mundra said the summit was conceptualised to ignite entrepreneurship and Level 5 leadership within all ICAI members. He urged all to take up a new idea in 2017 and focus on it to make it successful. Mundra said 450 new members have been added to the ICAI Dubai chapter in the last six months.
The event had over 12 speakers who addressed more than 350 members and guests. The speakers included Amer Abdulaziz Khansaheb, managing director of Khansaheb Investment; Navin Valrani, CEO of Education and Engineering Services, Al Shirawi Group; Saket Modi, co-founder and CEO of Lucideus; and Smriti Nagpal, founder of Atulyakala, among others.
