Saudi Arabia to import 740,000 tons of wheat from Europe

Riyadh - The Organisation for Grain Silos and Flour Mills has awarded the fourth batch of imported wheat for the year, amounting to 740,000 tons, and supplies will come from European, American (North and South), Australian and Canadian origins.

The Organisation's Director-General, Ahmed Bin Abdulaziz Al Faris, explained in a statement today that the arrival of the fourth batch will be between December 2015 and February 2016, on 12 ships, noting that by this tender, the organisation has contracted to import 2,750,000 tons from abroad since the beginning of the year.
