New record set for concrete pouring
ABU DHABI —The Landmark Tower Project in Abu Dhabi has set a new record in the UAE record for the largest single concrete pouring by completing a pouring of 16,000 cubic metres. This is one of the largest pourings of self compacting concrete anywhere in the world.
A pouring of this record-breaking scale and magnitude had been the result of a comprehensive work carried out by a team headed by Mubarak Saad Al Ahbabi. Al Habtoor Engineering Enterprises and Consolidated Contractors International Company (CCC) completed this feat of engineering in 64 hours of continuous work, starting on Thursday of August 9, 2007 at 4:00 PM.
Unibeton Readymix supplied the latest technology of Self Compacting Concrete (SCC) from five batching plants making use of some 120 concrete truck mixers.
