Lufthansa Plans to Cease Operation in Pakistan
Karachi — Lufthansa has decided to cease its operations in Pakistan from October 25, it was officially announced here.
No specific reason was given in the statement released to the media, but it is reported that the operation in Pakistan was financially not viable due to lower yield and soaring oil prices.
Lufthansa flights between Lahore and Frankfurt were launched in October 2007.

According to the statement passengers who were already booked on Lufthansa flights from Pakistan to Germany would be informed and rebooked to alternative flights connections via airlines other gateways.
