Numaish presents Art Karat's latest collection 'marwar'

The 'marwar' collection is inspired by the princely region of Jodhpur in Rajasthan. The collection is a Rajasthani collage of art, heritage and history which will be showcased at Taj Dubai, Business Bay on April 2 and 3.

Asha Kamal Modi, founder and designer of Art Karat - has created a collection of more than 1,500 gorgeous designs from the early 20th century worn by the royal lineage of maharajas and maharanis of Jodhpur. Each piece is skillfully handcrafted by master craftsmen possessing the art through generations.


The designs are a beautiful mix of various cut gemstones set on the age-old art of kundan and stand apart as the designer's best works. The collection includes a beautiful range of necklaces, long earrings, bracelets, bajubandhs, tikas, rings and pins.

Most of Art Karat's designs are priced between Dh500 to Dh5000 hence making it affordable for jewellery and art lovers.


Art Karat caters to a wide canvas of both traditional and western tastes, blending majestically with all kind of fashion styles. Asha Kamal Modi has designed jewellery for Bollywood blockbusters like Devdas, Zubeida, Monsoon Wedding, Bajirao Mastani, Padmavat and many more.

Many celebrities, film stars, politicians, and artists including Rekha, Madhuri Dixit, Aishwarya Rai, Tina Ambani, Cherry Blaire and Alicia Keys have adorned Asha's designs. Asha has also done some fabulous pieces for royalty including Princess Diana, Queen Rania of Jordan and Maharani Gayatri Devi Jaipur.
