Jamal Nasir Lootah, the Ministry's under secertary for industrial affairs, said that the two sides reviewed topics on the agenda of the meeting of Fund's board of governors due to be held in Vienna in March under the chairmanship of the UAE.

Kharbash said that he was delighted by Al Herbish's visit to the UAE, one of the Fund's main members, noting that the visit was part of the regional tour that would also include other Opec members in the Gulf region.

He said that the Fund had a 10-year working plan renewable every five years, pointing out that the Fund was currently executing the 15th loan programme valued at one billion dollars.
