Etisalat posts Dh8.26 billion earning in '15

Abu Dhabi - The net operating profit grew 17.2 per cent year on year to Dh11.59 billion in the full year from Dh9.89 billion, the telecommunication company said in a regulatory filing to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange.

Emirates Telecommunication Corporation, or etisalat, said its net profit dropped 3.9 per cent to Dh8.265 billion in 2015 from Dh8.601 billion in 2014. This is as per the company's preliminary unaudited results for 2015.
The net operating profit grew 17.2 per cent year on year to Dh11.59 billion in the full year from Dh9.89 billion, the telecommunication company said in a regulatory filing to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange.
The consolidated revenues for Etisalat Group has increased year on year by 6.6 per cent to Dh51.7 billion. Revenue was driven by the strong performance of domestic operations and the consolidation of Maroc Telecom operations in 2015.
In the UAE, revenues increased by six per cent on growth in its subscriber base and increased bundled offers to consumer and enterprise segments.
Etisalat Group's consolidated profits attributable to equityholders amounted to Dh8.3 billion, a decrease of Dh0.32 billion compared to the corresponding period in the prior year. Earnings per share dropped to Dh0.95 in 2015 from Dh0.99.
The telco's assets expanded 0.42 per cent year on year to Dh128.724 billion in 2015 from Dh128.178 billion the previous year.
