Ascent Group in deal with SMSMC
MUSCAT — The US-based Ascent Group has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Salalah Medical Supplies Manufacturing Company (SMSMC) to invest in the development of the medical technology industry in Oman.
A new joint venture will be formed in Oman owned by SMSMC, Ascent Group and a US corporation. It plans to bring to the Middle East the capability to manufacture therapeutic devices and to develop prototypes for new device concepts.
