Index Conferences and Exhibitions, or ICE, will organise four new events in Abu Dhabi on lifestyle, children and parenting, technology and media.
The announcement came as Index Conference and Exhibitions signed a partnership with the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, or Adnec, to open a new branch at its facility.
The agreement was signed by Khalifa Al Qubaisi, head of sales, congresses and conferences at Adnec, and Dr Abdul Salam Al Madani, chairman of Index Holding.
Index will organise two new exhibitions in 2016 and a further two on the media and technology sectors in 2017.
The four events to be hosted at Adnec are: Children & Parents World Exhibition, Lifestyle Exhibition, Media Communication & Content World Conference & Exhibition and Tech World Conference & Exhibition. These events will cover a spectrum of activities and verticals such as Children & Parents World Exhibition, which will be Abu Dhabi's first family fair and expo dedicated to babies, children and parents' needs.
The Tech World Conference & Exhibition, which plans to bring 'Tomorrow's Technology Now' to the Middle East and North African markets, will showcase technology that will transform lives in the near future.
Fashion trends
Lifestyle Exhibition will cover the latest trends in fashion, accessories, gifts, textiles and more, the chairman said. Ice organises over 20 events annually.
Humaid Al Dhaheri, the acting CEO of Adnec, said the partnership would strengthen the events calendar for Index. "Adnec is ready to provide the required support towards the success of these events."
The chairman of Index Holding said the new branch would be an addition to a series of successful enterprises that Ice has organised since its inception in 1991.
"We aim to transfer our expertise in organising international conferences and exhibitions here, while organising a number of elite events in Adnec. We have taken this step based on a solid business strategy which goes in line with the UAE national economy," he said.
