RAK Airways lands in Riyadh

RAK Airways flight RT233 touched down at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Wednesday, and was welcomed with a traditional water cannon salute.

In a statement to the Press, Eng Shaikh Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, chairman of the Department of Civil Aviation Ras Al Khaimah and vice-chairman of RAK Airways, thanked the airport authorities and the Saudi Arabian media for their overwhelming support to the young carrier of the UAE.

Authorities of King Khaled International Airport, the best of Saudi Arabian media and management of Amikan Travels and Tours — the GSA of RAK Airways — were present.

Shaikh Abdullah Ibrahim Al Omigan, founder and chairman of Amikan Travels and Tours, graced the occasion.

Azzam Omar Almofadda, chief executive officer of Amikan Travel and Tours, said: “We are happy to partner with the UAE’s RAK Airways and allow the residents and expatriates from the capital of Saudi Arabia to explore travel options into the emarate of Ras Al Khaimah, both for leisure and business.”
