With the addition of the three new freighters in 2013, DAE has placed a total of ten 777-200 freighter aircraft with Emirates’ freight division, SkyCargo.

The 777-200 freighter provides the backbone of Emirates’ SkyCargo operations. The 777F aircraft is one of the most modern, technologically-advanced freighters available and has the lowest fuel burn of any comparable-sized aircraft.

DAE managing director Khalifa H. Al Daboos said: “We are delighted to support Emirates’ growth in the freighter market. DAE’s leasing portfolio continues to grow to meet the demands of airlines worldwide to increase capacity.”

DAE is the largest aircraft lessor in the Middle East as measured by net book value of its fleet as well as by annual revenue. The lessor specialises in operating leases, sale and leaseback of aircraft, aircraft sales, aircraft purchases and aircraft remarketing.

The company currently has a balanced fleet of modern, fuel-efficient aircraft including 737-700s, 737-800s, A319s, A320s, A330s, 777-300ERs and 777Fs with a total net book value of approximately $3.3 billion. The aircraft are on lease to a geographically-diversified customer base made up of some of the world’s top airlines, such as Emirates.

DAE is a globally-recognised aerospace company specialising in maintenance, repair and overhaul services, aircraft completions and aircraft leasing.
