Workers file complaint
DUBAI — About 40 workers yesterday gathered at the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs premises in Dubai to lodge a complaint against their employer for alleged non-payment of salaries for four months. But only one of them actually went in to represent the 40 at the Labour Dispute Department and file their collective complaint.
One of the workers said that the company had employed all of them 10 months ago. For the first six months salaries were paid regularly. But thereafter, they have not been paid their salaries and the employer had also failed to complete their work visa formalities.
