Video: 17-year-old boy thrashes mother with broom for discussing marks

Police warned the boy of dire consequences if he did the same again.

In a shocking video doing rounds on social media, a 17-year-old heartless son in Bengaluru, India, is seen thrashing his mother with a broom as she cries in pain. The video was shot by the boy's elder sister after he warned her against intervening in the argument.    
According to reports in Times of India, The hapless mother, in her early 50s, is seen seated on a sofa and screaming in pain as her son thrashes her with a broom. The boy was furious as his mother was worried about his poor performance in academics and had discussed this with the neighbours.
He threatened her not to "badmouth him" and is heard saying in the footage: "If you continue talking like this, I will continue beating like this.''

When his sister tries to stop him he tells her to stay out and adds that he does not care if his mother files a complaint against him.
The Bengaluru police took notice of the viral video and decided to take action against the minor.

"The boy was upset with his mother as she allegedly badmouthed him in the neighbourhood. Recently, the woman was seen talking to her neighbours on the future of her son as he was not serious about life and faring badly in studies," said the police.
Police said the mother was apparently afraid of her son and refused to give a statement against him. Although the boy was let off without any complaint being filed against him, police warned him of dire consequences if he did the same again. The police also asked the boy to apologise to his mother and got an undertaking signed by him.
