United Grease & Lubricants LLC: Creating a niche in specialised lubricants and greases

Established in 1998, the Ajman based United Grease & Lubricants LLC (UGL) blossomed from a single grease manufacturing entity to a one-stop supplier for all types of Marine, Automotive and Industrial Lubricants across south east Asia, Middle East and Africa. It also focuses on exports through appointed distributors worldwide.

Evolving with market needs
The company manufactures products for use in automotive, industrial and marine sectors, and strives to meet high-performance requirements of equipment and machines with semi-synthetic and synthetic grades.
Established in UAE, it offers a third-party blending facility to major multinational and international brands through a Lube Oil Blending Plant, and set to create a niche in the market with the production of specialised lubricants and greases under the brand name, Scope.
"We are one of the oldest companies in this sector and one of the most experienced in the industry. It is not untrue when I say that we are successful, as we can proudly state that we provide third party blending facility to the most number of multinational and international brands operating in the UAE and abroad.
"Keeping in mind the technological advancements and staying on top of the game, we are also in the process of automating UGL and therefore enhancing our productivity," said Syed Khudrathulla, Director General, UGL.

Future goals
Looking ahead, UGL is in expansion mode as part of its new business strategy, with plans to open regional offices in South East Asia and Africa to serve the markets better.
