UAE to observe World Anti Narcotics Day
The UAE will mark World Anti Narcotics Day on Tuesday at Al Diar Regency Hotel in the Emirate of Fujairah.
Major General Khamis Saif bin Sowaif, Director General of the Criminal Security at the Ministry of Interior, Chairman of the Higher Committee for Anti Narcotics, said the UAE alongside the world countries will celebrate the event, which corresponds with June 26. He added that the higher committee held its last meeting last week to review the final preparations for the event nationwide.
Colonel Abdul Rahman Al Owais, Acting Director General of the Federal Anti-Drugs General Directorate at the Ministry of Interior, said the distinguished anti narcotics elements, some societies and societal dignitaries, who had participated in different anti drugs activities will be honoured at the sideline of the event.
