BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus (BPDC) is the branch campus of the internationally reputed Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani) India and is one of the largest institutions in Dubai International Academic City (DIAC). Set up in 2000, it offers quality higher education to the residents of the UAE and other countries.
The Dubai Campus has 1,600 students admitted from over 20 countries worldwide including several employed engineers pursuing the Master's Programmes. It has an excellent academically conducive infrastructure and offers an opportunity to acquire best quality education in an international environment from well-experienced and highly qualified faculty.
The Institute has collaborated with over 400 reputed companies across the UAE, India and the US to offer Practice School (Internship) to its students. Eligibility Criteria
First degree programmes:
Candidates must have obtained a minimum 60 per cent overall aggregate of marks in the qualifying examination and must have a minimum aggregate of 60 per cent in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects with at least 50 per cent marks in each subject. If instead of marks any letter grades or GPA are awarded (or any other system of evaluation), their equivalences in marks will be decided by the Admissions Committee.
Higher degree programmes:
A minimum aggregate of 60 per cent in the qualifying degree as indicated below for each programme.
> M.E. Design: B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
> M.E. Electrical: BE/B.Tech in EEE/ E&I / ECE or its equivalent.
> M.E. Microelectronics: B.E./B.Tech. in EEE/E & IECE/CS or M.Sc. Physics or equivalent
> M.E. Software Systems: B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc./MCA or equivalent
> MBA Programmes: B.E./B.Tech. or its equivalent
The admission will be based on the performance in the qualifying degree and interview.
Doctoral programme
M.E./M.S./MBA/M.Phil. of BITS Pilani or its equivalent with a minimum of 60 per cent aggregate. The admission will be based on the performance in the qualifying degree, experience and admission test.
Research
Research is an important academic activity at BITS Pilani and students at all levels of educational programmes are involved in research that exploits the multi-disciplinary educational base emerging out of the broad based integrated education in engineering and sciences. Strong emphasis is laid on interdisciplinary, mission oriented and relevant research.
Alumni
Over 4,000 students have graduated from the Dubai campus. These graduates are employed in thousands of firms, which include prestigious companies around the world such as Microsoft, Oracle, Siemens, L & T, Emirates airlines, Honeywell, Petrofac, Schlumberger, Infosys, Tata Consultancy, etc., or have completed or pursuing higher studies in more than 75 leading universities worldwide such as Harvard, Stanford, MIT, Cornell, Johns Hopkins, Carnegie Mellon in the US; the University of Toronto, Canada; University of Manchester, UK; Monash University and University of Melbourne in Australia; National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, etc. Many graduates are also successful entrepreneurs.

Fee structure
Tuition fee for the First Degree Programme of a normal duration of eight semesters is Dh21,650 per semester. Tuition fee for the Higher Degree Programme of a normal duration of four semesters is Dh15,500 per semester. Details on other fees such as admission fee, hostel fee, visa fee, etc., are available on the website.
Scholarships
Merit Scholarships up to 75%, Fee Concessions under various categories and Special Scholarship for GCC/ Arab nationals offered.

Accreditation status:
- Accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), UGC, Government of India.
- Permitted by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority. The academic qualifications granted by this institution and certified by KHDA shall be recognised in the Emirate of Dubai by all public and private entities for all purposes.
