Sharjah Ruler orders release of 231 prisoners
His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council member and Ruler of Sharjah has ordered release of 231 prisoners serving half of their terms in the emirate’s penitentiaries and proved to be competent.
The clemency is granted for eligible prison inmates from different nationalities to mark the advent of the Holy month of Ramadan.
The gesture reflects Shaikh Sultan’s interest in improving the conditions of members of the community.
