Seminar on corporate performance

A symposium themed ‘Development of corporate performance’, organised by the Dubai Government Excellence Programme (DGEP), was opened by Sultan bin Mijrin, Director-General of the Department of Lands and Properties in Dubai on Monday.

Present are Abdulla Al Shaibani, Secretary-General of the Dubai Executive Council and Chairman of the programme, and Ahmed Al Nuseirat, Coordinator-General of the programme. Sultan bin Mijrin spoke on the importance of corporate performance and its role in boosting government services, on the basis of the fact that it is a basic pillar for strengthening the principles of excellence and sustainability of performance, as well as the requirements for achieving the objective in the march for excellence.

He spoke on the experience of his department in corporate improvement, as it plays a pivotal role in improving the outcome and government services. Shedding light on the achievements of the Dubai Government, he hailed the efforts of the DGEP in upgrading the government performance and implementing the concepts and criteria of the excellence management and quality.

More than 175 people from 26 government departments in Dubai and other emirates took part in the symposium, where they described their experiences in improving the government performance.

Chancellor of Hamdan bin Mohammed e-University Dr Mansour Al Awar spoke on the theme of the symposium.
