Prisoner’s Suicide Bid Costs him Dh1,000
FUJAIRAH — An inmate was fined Dh1,000 for attempting to take his own life inside Fujairah Central Prison. The Criminal Misdemeanors Court of First Instance found the Emirati youth guilty of trying to commit suicide by using a sharp object to cut his wrist.
He bled profusely and was rushed to the Fujairah public hospital after the prison staff found him.
He was referred to the public prosecution, which sent him to the Misdemeanors court.
