Youssef Al Feel, along with his brothers and cousins, managed to break the windows and enter flooded houses — moving people to safety for an entire day
Ajman - The Ajman Police will escort funeral processions to cemeteries as part of an initiative it has launched called ‘Honour the deceased’.
The initiative will help the family of the deceased obtain death certificates and other documents, and complete formalities related to burial.
Dr Captain Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director of Social Police, said the initiative is part of the department’s efforts in carrying out its humanitarian and social responsibilities.
The initiative will help build trust of residents in police services, he said.
Dr Al Suwaidi told Khaleej Times that teams from the Social Police will coordinate with hospitals in Ajman to get information about family members of the deceased. “The police will also get information when families apply for burial approvals from the departments concerned. In some cases, families can approach the police for support,” he said.
