New civil defence station in Ajman’s Al Jarf area shortly

AJMAN — The new civil defence station in Al Jarf Area of Ajman will soon be ready to provide services in the area, according to Col Saleh Saeed Al Matrooshi, Director-General of the Ajman Civil Defence.

He said that the construction work was almost completed and it would soon be inaugurated to provide services that cope with current rapid development in the emirate.

Another civil defence centre was launched in cooperation with the developers of the new residential cities located on the Emirates Road.

Colonel Al Matrooshi said that three new civil defence centres will be opened in Ajman city and a fourth one in Al Manama area in the outskirts of Ajman during the next 10 years.

He was addressing a Press conference yesterdayto announce the launch of a summer training programme that will kick off on June 8 under the patronage of Shaikh Amar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman.

The 45-day training programme is aimed at training around 45 UAE youngsters.

“Shaikh Amar has given instructions to organise the programme to involve youths in useful activities during summer that can enhance their skills and talents. The programme will be held daily from 7.30 am to 2.30 pm.”

“We will also offer them theoretical classes to increase their awareness about various fields of life,” Col Al Matrooshi said.

Col Al Matrooshi was also briefed on the lack of fire alarm systems in many buildings in Ajman.
