Music show to mark Valentine celebrations

DUBAI - The Al Maktoum Grand Stand at Nad Al Sheba Club in Dubai will come alive tonight with soul stirring music when Shantanu Mukherjee a.k.a Shaan, the Indipop sensation and Bollywood's most popular playback singer, along with some of the most sought-after artistes from India and Pakistan, performs to a 6,000 strong, Valentine-Day celebrating crowd.

The Pepsi Valentine Music Festival 2003, a part of Oberoi Middle East's (OME) One World One Music presentations, will feature Fakhr and Haroon, voices behind several chartbusters and members of the erstwhile Pakistani pop band 'Awaaz' which broke up three years ago, solo pop artiste Anaida - accompanied by a special dance troupe, and the swashbuckling host cum singer Fakhr-e-Alam.

Speaking at a Press conference yesterday, Naresh Oberoi, Managing Director of OME, said that the first 400 women audience would be presented with gifts and red, white and blue roses, while the artistes would give away surprise prizes to the audience.

Tickets have been priced at Dh60, Dh90 and Dh200 to accommodate teenagers and families alike.
