Amazon customer Gautam Rege, co-founder and director of Josh Software, claimed that when he notified Amazon about the blooper, he was told to keep the expensive earbuds "as the item is non-returnable", reported NDTV.

Rege took Twitter on Wednesday and shared a photo of a box of Bose Soundsport Wireless Headphones he received from Amazon. He wrote a caption along with the photo that read: 'Bose wireless earbuds (?19k) delivered instead of skin lotion (?300).

Rege's tweet went viral and amassed over 21,000 likes and 4,000 hilarious retweets with many customers sharing their stories of online shopping gone wrong.
One Twitter joked: 'Is the skin lotion still in stock? Please send link'. While another quipped: 'Hey, I got a skin lotion instead of my Bose earbuds. Let's exchange'.
