Not everybody who said yes to the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) were enthusiasts who knew the best routines and activities for them - some were totally clueless, struggling to find the right combination of exercises for a 30-minute workout.
But DFC has got everyone covered.Experts and trainers have created workout plans that everyone can access for free at 30 different locations across the city.
With the programme called 'City is a Gym', all you'll have to do is scan the QR code on boards at each location to unlock a unique workout video guide.
Some are even found in tourist spots such as Burj Plaza, Downtown Dubai and the historical Shindagha area.
Khaleej Times has spoken to the DFC ambassador who was part of the team that put the workout plans together.
The guides have been designed by the InnerFight gym which is run by 41-year-old endurance athlete Marcus Smith.
"We've customised an easy-to-follow workout plan based on the locality. So, if it has a running track, we've included a plan which a user can apply on the tracks, followed by body-weight exercises," said Smith.
Last year, Marcus had run a full marathon of 42km every day as part of the DFC. Now he's urging the public to push their boundaries by following the plan, which he said caters to all ages and fitness levels.
