The university education sector in Dubai is thriving, thanks to some of the world's best-rated institutes who have their campuses in the city.
The opportunity to stay in a cosmopolitan culture and learn about the social etiquettes are necessary and provided in the institutes here.
This year in July, for the first-time ever, ratings for Dubai universities were revealed by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).
The new ratings system was announced by the Dubai Executive Council and aims to ensure international varsities in the emirate are up to standards.
Two such universities include Manipal Academy of Higher Education and SP Jain School of Global Management, who received four stars each.

Universities are evaluated on eight quality indicators and awarded an overall star ranging from 1 to 5+ stars, depending on the number of points achieved in the evaluation.
The overall score is based on individual indicators - allowing students to match their interests with education providers that are strong in topics that interest them.
The new Higher Education Classification by KHDA will make it easier for students to choose a university based on their areas of interest.
Dubai authorities want to create and support a large academic community in the country that will accelerate the development of higher education.

Higher education in Dubai also includes training institutes where you can enrol for part-time or full-time courses.
Institutes offer both local programmes and internationally recognised certifications. Student performance is assessed by a computer-based exam, written exam or practical tasks.
