Illegal water bottling firm fined in Ajman
AJMAN — The Ajman Municipality slapped a fine of Dh50,000 on an unauthorised water bottling company on Sunday for selling tap water considered unfit for consumption.
According to a source from the municipality, the company workers was found filling bottles of different sizes with tap water in Al Nuamiya area.
Speaking to Khaleej Times, Eng. Khaled Al Houseny, Head of the Health Directorate at Ajman Municipality, said the company's premises was raided and water transport vehicles, containers and all bottles filled with water were confiscated.
