Aries (Mar 21 - Apr 19)

A liaison between your ruler, Mars, and dreamy Neptune this week means that your responses could be driven by an emotionally coloured imagination. An inability to apply your normal cool logic could lead to your becoming a victim of self-deception or paranoia. Mixed signals and muddled directions, add a further dimension of confusion and you start jumping at shadows. However, don’t panic because you think you’ve been double-crossed. Someone is trying to con you and pull the wool over your eyes, but not for the reasons you suppose.

Taurus (Apr 20- May 20)

With no planetary influences affecting you directly this week, you’re on your own and can set your own agenda. It’s thus an excellent time for making fresh starts and new beginnings. Look to what you can change or cast off in order to make a clean break. You could consider a move to a new location or maybe a cosmetic makeover to change your personal image. Allow your imagination free rein and you can be that free spirit you always envied and admired. But in trying to hang on to a relationship well past its sell-by-date, you’ve let yourself become predictable and stereotyped.

Gemini (May 21 - Jun 20)

Mercury’s transit into Scorpio and its trine with Uranus could cause a temporary wobble which will manifest itself in erratic behaviour. Normally cautious about your money, you might find yourself ‘thinking big’ and being too free with your finances. Make sure your generosity is not misplaced and that the results of your expense are not seen as lacking in taste. If a celebration is called for, which is likely, avoid going OTT. It’s always important that the image you project is balanced, refined and discreet. You’ll only put people off and turn them against you if you put too much emphasis on flashy, outward show.

Cancer (Jun 21 - Jul 22)

As the Moon makes a gloomy alignment with Pluto and Neptune, the obscure and hidden will hold allure for the Crab this week. You may feel a strange compulsion to seek the truth and bring things that have lain buried for a long time to light. However, what you learn by digging deep may be disturbing and potentially dangerous. Some secrets are best left secret. No matter how big the inducement offered to reveal what you learn, you must keep it quiet. Be on guard also to avoid inadvertent disclosure of something that is distasteful or embarrassing.

Leo (Jul 23 - Aug 22)

Your ruler, the Sun, squares up to the disciplinarian Saturn this week and you’re reminded that no matter how much you dislike it, you’ve got to get on with the job. As punctuality becomes more important, you’ll have to fight against the urge to roll over and indulge those lazy feelings that would lure you back to bed. You’ve got places to go, things to do and people to meet. In your present indolent mood you become especially vulnerable to the temptations offered by the unscrupulous who will exploit your weaknesses for their own benefit. Keep to a tight schedule and resist any calls to come out to play.

Virgo (Aug 23 - Sept 22)

As flighty Mercury makes its way into cool Scorpio this week you could find you’re at war with yourself in a conflict between passion and reason. Do you react with feeling and spontaneity or do you apply discipline and icy restraint? You need to make a proper study of what and who you’re up against before you make any decisions. Timing is crucial as is the choice of method or weapon. A well-placed bombshell at the right moment could serve your purpose, but a deliberate and frosty stand-off might deter the opposition. There’s no margin for getting it wrong by reacting with too much force or too little.

Libra (Sept 23 - Oct 22)

You can look forward to greater independence and the chance to widen your area of operations this week. At long last you’re about to get the go-ahead from someone who has so far been reluctant to go along with your ideas. Cosmic influences are not wholly favourable, however, and you must be careful not to go too far, push too hard or exaggerate the gains you hope to make. The prospects are not entirely rosy, but there are signs that with patience and persistence, you can make the most of adverse conditions to cultivate success.

Scorpio (Oct 23 - Nov 21)

The Cosmos is awash with lies and half-truths as erratic Mercury enters your sign. The result of this transit is a tangle of confusing signals. You might not know whether you’re coming or going and the people around you are equally nervous. The unsettled atmosphere is likely to make everybody less reserved than usual and you might find it hard to separate fact from fiction. Even if you feel you’re not being told the whole or the right story, don’t try to fill in the gaps. There are things that you simply don’t need to know. Any threads of information you obtain may be really interesting, but it should be ‘mind-your-own-business’ time.
