GCC foreign ministers meet in Abu Dhabi

The meeting of foreign ministers of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries opened in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday evening.

The 117th ministerial preparatory meeting is held ahead of the 31st GCC Summit scheduled in Abu Dhabi between 6th and 7th December.

In his opening address Shaikh Abdullah stressed the importance of the meeting in view of the topics on the table.

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan received at his palace today, Foreign Minister of Bahrain Sheikh Khalid Bin Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and Foreign Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Sabah Al Salem Al Sabah, who are in UAE to participate in the ministerial preparatory meeting for the forthcoming GCC summit in Abu Dhabi.

During the meeting they held talks on joint cooperation among the GCC states and its march of achievements since it was established in 1981.

They also exchanged views on social issues and the challenges facing the GCC states especially in the field of education.
