Fire in Al Quoz warehouse
DUBAI - A worker sustained moderate injuries in a fire accident on Thursday around 9:25 am in a warehouse at Dubai Dry Docks.
The operation room of the Dubai Civil received information that a fire had started in a warehouse where furniture for boats is manufactured.
The fire-fighters from Karama, Al Quoz and Satwa rushed to the site and evacuated the 25 workers who were in warehouse when the fire started.
Ahmad Al Sayegh, Deputy Director, Dubai Civil Defence said the fire was brought under control in less than half an hour. Forensic medicine officials are investigating the cause of fire. The injured have been taken to the Rashid Hospital, Dubai.
