Filipina maid's death shocks Kuwait

Kuwait City - Ministry of Foreign Affairs is looking into the matter and will reveal investigation results.

Kuwait is following the death of Filipina citizen Constancia Lago Dayag with great concern, Foreign Ministry said on Saturday.

In a statement issued by the Department of Consular Affairs, the Ministry offered sincere condolences to the family of the deceased, adding that it is following up with authorities the circumstances of the incident.
The statement added that the Philippines' authorities would be informed of the results of the investigation, stressing that the Kuwait has laws that preserves the rights of all residents.
According to Philippines Department of Labour and Employment, a Filipina domestic worker had been assaulted by her employer.
She was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
