EAD board restructured

The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has issued, in his capacity as the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, an Emiri decree restructuring the board of the Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD).

The decree says General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, will be the honorary chairman of the EAD.

According to the decree, Shaikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region, will chair the board and Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, will act as his deputy. The board will have the following as members: Shaikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court; Shaikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Shaikh Nahyan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan; Dr Rashid Ahmed bin Fahd, Minister of Environment and Water; Mohammed Ahmed Al Bowardi, member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council; Ahmed Mohammed Shariff Ali, Undersecretary of the Department of Municipal Affairs; Mohammed Butti Khalfan Al Qubaisi, Director of Exploration and Production Department, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC); and Ahmed Thani Murshed Ghanam Al Rumaithi, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sailing and Yacht Club.

The decree states that the board members will serve a term of two years and the tenure is subject to renewal.
