Mattar Al Tayer, member of the DSF Supreme Committee, said, “DSF 2009 was the most challenging and attention-grabbing edition in the history of this event. To organise and implement such an event in the current state of the economy is truly a great achievement on the part of the organisers.”

He added that despite the doubts in the minds of many, this DSF has delivered. “Considering the current situation, the media awareness for the event was overwhelming as it came at a time of such political and economic turmoil in the region and world over. However, the flexible nature of the event allowed us to create several constructive initiatives that have made a positive impact on the economy.”
