The event will include a musical theatre play entitled ‘Go Deep Blue’. The story will centre around 7 main characters and the obstacles they encounter in the sea. Although a play targeting children, the story will also look at the effects of pollution. ‘Go Deep Blue’ will take place every day up to July 25 from 5pm onwards.

The Nature Surprises will also include a picture gallery with photographs of rare deep sea species. Children and families alike will marvel at the wide range of exotic fish, marine mammals, marine reptiles, shellfish and other organisms living at the bottom of the sea amongst rare plants. The picture gallery will open throughout the event.

Salem Al Ghurair, CEO of Al Ghurair City, said: “Al Ghurair City is proud to introduce the Nature Surprises to visitors during DSS 2007. The event will allow children to dig into the deep sea, where another life and another world is waiting to be discovered. ‘Go Deep Blue’ is also an entertaining way to introduce the ever growing problem of pollution to a younger audience. We are confident the Nature Surprises will be a huge hit with children and adults alike.”
