Two Tamil films, Vikram's 10 Endrathukulla and actor Vijay Sethupathi's Naanum Rowdy Dhaan arrive at theatres this week.
Directed by accomplished cinematographer Vijay Milton, 10 Endrathukulla is billed to be a racy thriller that marks the return of Vikram after the super-hit film I, directed by Shankar.
Also starring Samantha, the film's highlight is the pulsating car race sequences and action thrills. Packing nail-biting action, the film celebrates stereotypes, says Vikram, but the director has treated it differently.
Having been associated with big budget banners for long, Vikram says he is experimenting with his roles in every movie - and apparently Milton had a story ready for Vikram.
He plays a taxi driver who calls himself James Bond. With multiple camera set-up in practically every scene, the action is carefully instantaneous bringing out a rare edge of action thrills to the movie.
Naanum Rowdy Dhaan has a big name backing it - the movie is produced by actor Dhanush who is actively promoting the movie on social networking sites with the added lure of it being an Anirudh Ravichander musical. The film also stars Nayanthara and is directed by Vignesh Shivan, who earlier directed Podaa Podi.
