Bird flu in 7 captive birds in Madinat Zayed

Ongoing screening has identified presence of bird flu in just seven captive birds in Madinat Zayed, Western Region, Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Emergency and Crisis Management Team said in a statement on Wednesday.
"The rapid response enabled these cases to be identified, isolated and managed effectively according to the international guidelines, the statement added.
"Testing of birds within a 3km geographic area has revealed no further cases. Continuous monitoring within the area will be undertaken to ensure there are no further incidents of the flu," the statement affirmed.
