AL AIN — A nine-year-old Emirati girl from Al Ain drowned in a rainwater lake in the Omani border village of Mahdha, on Saturday.
The girl had gone to the scenic Mahdha tourist spot on a picnic with her family, after rains lashed the Eastern Region of the Abu Dhabi emirate, Al Ain and some areas in Oman last week.
After investigations, the Omani police authorities declared the case as an accident.
