Al Qasimi roundabout in Sharjah to be closed from tomorrow

SHARJAH — The Shaikh Khalid bin Khaled Al Qasimi roundabout near the Sharjah Driving Institute will be closed from 11am tomorrow to carry out road network improvement work as part of a wider project across the emirate.

The Sharjah Police and Public Works will close the roundabout temporarily until the construction work is over.

Lieutenant Abdul Rahman Khatir of the road project section at Sharjah Police, said yesterday that the vehicles coming from Al Buhairah Corniche and the central areas of Sharjah city through Wasit Street will have to take a detour from Wasit Street through Al Falaj area.

The motorists coming from Sharjah Corniche and the central areas of Sharjah city towards the Imran Triam roundabout will have to use the right exit through Al Falaj area and use the detour and take left towards the Imran Triam roundabout. Those who come from Imran Triam roundabout heading to Ajman will have to use the right exit and proceed to Ajman.

The vehicles coming from the Imran Triam roundabout heading towards Sharjah City Centre and Corniche area will have to use the right detour near the Khalid bin Khaled Al Qasimi roundabout and take left at the intersection and take the detour through Al Izra area towards the Al Izra roundabout. The motorists coming from Ajman through the Wasit Road towards Sharjah downtown will have to use the Al Izra detour towards the Al Izra roundabout.
