The decision has been taken as per the directives of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and President of Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), and the follow-up of Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affair and Vice-President of ADEC.

The increase is to help the teachers meet the increasing rents in the cities of Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Gharbia. This increase will be added to the June's salary and disbursed not later than October.

Dr Mughir Kamis Al Khaili, Director-General of ADEC, on Sunday stressed that the increment would be given to the educationists (teachers and administrators), who number nearly 13,000, in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Dr Al Khaili greeted the zone directors and teaching and administration staff, hoping that this gesture would be an incentive to continue serving the country.
