The police also saved the life of a man who was trapped in his car following an accident.

First Lieutenant Raed Ali Khamis said police used ventillation and smoke-sucking equipment in the rescue of the two men in the fire that broke out at the villa in the Power House area.

The blaze was put out and the men whose lives were in danger because of the thick smoke were taken out to safety. The fire destroyed the bedroom, living room and some parts of the ground floor.

The unit also saved a man who was hurt in the legs after being trapped in his damaged car following an accident on Airport Road. The police used hydraulic cutters to take the man out of the car. He was rushed to hospital for treatment.
