155 graduate from IAT Al Ain Campus

AL AIN — Shaikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Eastern Region, yesterday attended the graduation ceremony of the first batch of the Institute of Applied Technology (IAT), Al Ain Campus.

As many as 155 students of the first batch have graduated.

Hussein El Hamady, Head of the IAT Trustees' Council, praised the efforts of Shaikh Tahnoun who supported the IAT administration and students to achieve international standards.

"Our aim is to produce graduates who could put the UAE among the global leaders," he added.

Dr Abdul Latif Al Shamsi, Director-General of the IAT, said the graduates have been awarded gained the Secondary Schools Applied Technology Certificates.

He said the IAT offers modern, stimulating environments to young Emiratis seeking careers in technical and scientific disciplines.

"The IAT's vision is to create a world-class system of technical education for the UAE that will produce the scientists, engineers and technicians needed for the country to evolve into a highly sophisticated base," added Dr Al Shamsy.
