Junaid Jamshed together with his second wife Nahya Junaid died in the PIA crash on December 7 that killed all 47 people on board. While Junaid Jamshed is well known as a singer, Islamic preacher and fashion designer, less is known about Nahya Junaid.
According to the Pakistan's Samaa TV, Nahya Junaid was a former employee of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF).
She was the administrator of the PFF women's team from 2010-2012.
Though she was not a footballer herself, she organized the participation of the Pakistan Women National Football Team in the South Asian Games for the first time.
Nahya however left her job before her marriage.
Funeral prayers for Nahya Junaid were offered in Lahore on Thursday.
