A video is widely circulating online showing an Australian reporter shuddering with fear with a real snake draped around her shoulders as she tries to film a report.

Sarah Cawte, Channel 9 Australia reporter, was filming snake safety report and to make it look "real" she had a snake around her shoulder. But instead of speaking into the microphone, Cawte looks visibly petrified when the snake repeatedly attacks her microphone.
While filming the snake safety report, Cawte managed to speak her lines but with terrified expression which revealed how scared she was. She is heard saying: "While they might not be everyone's cup of tea, most of the time snakes are more scared of you than you are of them."
She later told Today, "I was just there to shoot a couple of shots for this package about snake safety. I was scared because my hand was so close to the microphone. It was very scary," NDTV reported. "He just bit my microphone. What if he finds my hand?"
Adding that the snake handler was right, Cawte revealed "they thought it was hilarious". "It calmed down and I got the shot for my package," she said, adding she got rid of the snake soon after.
